Fortnite Season 6 introduced crafting and wildlife to Fortnite. You can put the two together to tame animals that will fight by your side. Here’s how.
Wildlife is among the new additions to Fortnite Season 6. They seem to have replaced NPC enemies like Marauders and IO Guards, and that’s a good thing for all players.
The animals of the island play into the new crafting system. You can eliminate them for bones and meat, but you can also tame them and get them to fight by your side.
Here’s how to tame Boars, Wolves, and Chickens in Fortnite Season 6.
How to tame a Boar & Wolf
Taming Wolves and Boars are very similar. You’ll need to find them, and then feed one to bring it to your side.
Keep in mind that these animals typically spawn in packs – especially wolves. You might tame one of them, but its friends will still want to kill you.
- Grab Fruit for a boar or Meat for a wolf
- Throw the food at the ground
- Allow the Wolf/Boar to eat
- Walk up and hold interact to complete the taming process
Crafting a Hunter’s Cloak will make this process a bit easier, as it allows you to sneak up on wildlife without aggravating the animals. To do this, you’ll need two bones and a piece of meat. You can get these materials off of a dead Boar, Wolf, or Chicken.
How to tame a Chicken
As silly as they look, Chickens might be the most useful animal currently in Fortnite. They won’t deal any damage to your opponents, but you can use them in combination with a Spire blast or Shockwave Grenade to rotate to the zone.
Here’s how to tame a Chicken in Fortnite Season 6:
- Find a Chicken
- Catch up to the Chicken as it runs away
- Press Interact to carry the Chicken over your head
- Jump to have a similar effect to the Balloon in past seasons
We’ve seen some amazing rotation strategies with the Chicken, as they allow you to glide through the air – just like Balloons did in past Fortnite seasons. If you’re only going for one animal to tame, the Chicken would be our pick.
Where to find animals in Fortnite Season 6
Animals spawn all over the map, but there is a higher concentration of them to the center and north of the island.

Frogs also spawn along the rivers, but you can’t tame them. You’ll only want to eliminate Frogs for Bones and Stick Sacks that allow you to craft the Stink Bomb Bow.
With rumors of Raptors coming to the game, we’re sure to be seeing some additional wildlife enter Fortnite as Season 6 goes on. We’ll update this article when more tameable creatures hit Fortnite.

Epic Games are, once again, offering players free Fortnite cosmetics for playing Rocket League – another of their popular games.

Fortnite and Rocket League have joined forces yet again to offer players free cosmetics in both games. Here’s how to unlock them.
Epic Games have been expanding their catalog of popular titles over the past few years. Most recently, they acquired the developer who brought us Fall Guys.
Before that, Epic purchased Psynoix – the developer of Rocket League. The new publisher made sweeping changes to the game. They made it free-to-play, did away with random loot boxes, and added a Battle Pass similar to what we see in Fortnite.
Epic celebrated Rocket League going free-to-play with the first Llama Rama event last year. Now, they’ve announced a second one, which gives players a chance to earn free cosmetics in both of their games.
Llama Rama Challenges and Rewards
This promotion is designed to bring Fortnite players over to Rocket League, so all of the challenges will be a part of the latter game. You’ll need to download and create an account for Rocket League if you haven’t already.
Here are all of the challenges and rewards for the Llama Rama 2 event, as listed on the official Epic Games announcement blog.
CHALLENGE 1: BEYONDER
- Description: Play three online matches
- Fortnite Reward: Battle Ball Spray
- Rocket League Reward: Topper – DJ Yonder
CHALLENGE 2: MORE LLAMA BELL
- Description: Get 500 total points in online matches
- Fortnite Reward: Llama-Rama Loading Screen
- Rocket League Reward: Player Anthem – Llama Bell
CHALLENGE 3: OVER YONDER
- Description: Get five Goals, Assists, or Saves in online matches
- Fortnite Reward: Everybody Dance! Lobby Track
- Rocket League Reward: Octane Decal – DJ Yonder
CHALLENGE 4: UMBRELLA ROYALE
- Description: Get five Clears and Centers in online matches
- Fortnite Reward: Zooming Wrap
- Rocket League Reward: Wheels – Umbrella Royale
CHALLENGE 5: EXTRA ORDINARY
- Description: Play one online match in any of the Extra Modes playlists
- Fortnite Reward: Turbo Ball! Back Bling
- Rocket League Reward: Player Title – Extra Ordinary
CHALLENGE 6: WINNING IS EVERYTHING (ROCKET LEAGUE REWARD ONLY)
- Description: Win 10 online matches (Repeatable)
- Rocket League Reward: 20,000 XP
Rocket League is a game that we highly recommend for those who haven’t tried it. Like Fortnite, it’s one of a kind. It’s relatively easy to learn the basics of Rocket League, but incredibly difficult to master – just as Fortnite is.

Fortnite Season 6 introduced the crafting system for the first time. It’s a bit confusing, so here’s how it works.

Fortnite Season 6 introduced the crafting system to the game. If you’re struggling to understand your new inventory, you’ve come to the right place.
Fortnite Season 6 is still young, and players are just jumping-in to explore the new map. Apart from the new scenery, the first thing you’ll probably notice is that the inventory system got a rework. We now have a crafting tab, which allows you to effectively upgrade, sidegrade, and transform weapons on the fly.
Ahead, we’ll cover everything we know about the new crafting system in Season 6, along with some tips on how to get the most powerful weapons in the game.
Fortnite Season 6 crafting guide
The crafting system has supplemented the upgrade system in Fortnite, which was under fire during Season 5 for the unavailabilty of upgrades. You can still upgrade weapons with Gold from NPCs, but crafting now offers a more consistent way to improve your kit.
The new crafting system allows players to create the inventory that they want. You will gain crafting materials from hunting wildlife, eliminating players, destroying vehicles, and purchasing it from NPCs. After that, you can use it to upgrade your Makeshift items to Primal and Mechanical weapons.
Certain combinations of items also offer special crafting recipes. For instance, if you combine two Shockwaves and a Mechanical Bow, you’ll be able to craft the Mechanical Shockwave Bow. You could make a different, more dangerous bow if you use six Grenades, instead.
Primal weapons are brand new this season, but most players seem to prefer the Mechanical weapons – which are normal weapons from past Fortnite seasons. You can still find them on the ground, but it might be easier to grab a Makeshift weapon and upgrade it to Mechanical after whacking a few cars with your pickaxe.
We’ll update this article and provide additional guides when we learn more about the hunting and crafting systems in Fortnite Season 6. Until then, make sure to follow us on Twitter @FortniteINTEL so you never miss out on the latest Fortnite news.
Don’t like the monthly offering for the Fortnite Crew subscription pack? Here’s how to cancel before you receive a charge.

The Fortnite Crew subscription is the popular new way to get exclusive monthly cosmetics and the Battle Pass for one low price. If you don’t like the monthly offering, here’s how to easily cancel your subscription.
For all of their faults, Epic Games is one of the most player-friendly developers when it comes to microtransactions. They changed the meta of gaming monetization with the Battle Pass model, pushing other developers away from the loot box system that was popular at the time.
In 2021, Epic announced a new monetization system: the Fortnite Crew subscription. In January and March, with new Battle Passes to unlock, the $11.99 price tag offered an amazing deal for the Battle Pass, a skin pack, and 1,000 V-Bucks.
The next couple of months offered new skin packs, but the Battle Pass offering didn’t present as attractive of a value for those who already owned it. If you don’t like the new skin pack, it probably wasn’t worth the price.
Thankfully, Epic makes it easy to cancel your subscription. Here’s what you need to do.
How to cancel your Fortnite Crew subscription
As we said, Epic is an extremely customer-friendly developer. They make canceling the Crew subscription as easy as possible. You don’t need to go to their website or even leave the game; it’s all right here.
Follow these steps to cancel your Fortnite Crew subscription:
- Navigate to the Item Shop tab
- Scroll down to the Crew section
- Click Cancellation Info
- Click Leave Fortnite Crew
Just like that, you’ll be out of the Crew subscription and won’t be charged when the new month begins. You can always rejoin at any time by going back to the Item Shop and signing up.
Most other games would likely force you to go to the website and enter your details before canceling – making it more difficult and easier for players to forget. As usual, Epic don’t use these predatory tactics.
