Fortnite Season 6 allows players to duel NPCs for a chance to earn their high-powered weapons. Here’s where you need to go.
Fortnite Season 6 is here, and it brought some mechanics from Season 5 along with it. Players will recognize the NPCs from last season, with added functionality like activating Rifts and turning into a Prop.
Dueling characters is one of the more reliable ways to earn high-powered weapons. Here are the NPCs that allow you to duel them in Season 6.
Duel characters locations
Not all NPCs in Fortnite allow you to fight them. In fact, there are only a handful of characters that offer duels to players. These include:
- Jonesy the First
Here’s a location of all of the duelist NPCs on the Fortnite island.
Dueling a character is especially useful in competitive modes, where you start the game with 0 Gold Bars. This way, you can automatically grab a Primal Shotgun, Pump, or another powerful gun without earning Gold or farm crafting materials.

Fortnite Season 6 brought back the NPC services of the last season. Here’s how to hire a character in Fortnite Season 6.
Fortnite Season 6 is finally here, with new mechanics, map changes, and a new crafting system. One of the things that stayed from Season 5 was the NPCs scattered around the map. These NPCs offer the same services as Season 5, with some enhancements for the new season.
You can still hire NPCs to help fight your battles for you. This wasn’t the most popular NPC service in Season 5, but it still has its place. Here’s where you need to go if you want to hire an NPC in Fortnite Season 6.
Hire NPCs in Fortnite Season 6
There are plenty of NPCs around the Fortnite island, but only a handful of them allow you to hire them for their services. Epic nearly cut this number in half in Season 6. Here are the NPCs that let you hire them to fight by your side.
- Lara Croft
- Power Chord
- Stage Slayer
Unlike Season 5, all of the Season 6 hirable NPCs only have one spawn location, so finding them is quite easy. There are, however, far fewer NPCs that offer this service. This may have to do with the lack of popularity of this feature last season.

While hiring NPCs is a viable strategy, it might not be the best use of your Gold Bars. They help distract enemies in Solo games, but they aren’t much of a help in team modes. In fact, they can even get in your way from time to time when they break your walls, trying to help.
There will undoubtedly be a challenge linked to hiring NPCs in Season 6, so it’s helpful to know where they are at any rate. We’ll update this article if Epic change the spawn locations of any of the hirable NPCs

Fortnite Season 6 Week 2 is here, which means a list of new challenges to complete for XP rewards. Here’s what you need to do.
Surprisingly, the Fortnite Season 6 Week 2 challenges were released on March 23 – a Tuesday. Challenges typically release on Thursday, but Epic could be shaking things up this season.
Either way, we now know what we’ll have to do to gain XP in Week 2 and level up through the Battle Pass. Let’s take a look at the requirements.
Fortnite Season 6 Week 2 challenges
- Craft a Mechanical Bow, a Mechanical Explosive Bow, and a Mechanical Shockwave Bow
- Deal damage with Mechanical Weapons (300)
- Deal damage to opponents (1000)
- Ride different Ziplines (5)
- Obtain literature samples from Pleasant Park, Lazy Lake, or Retail Row (4)
- Get a headshot with a bow (1)
The Week 2 challenges for Season 6 aren’t too difficult but will require you to learn a bit more about the new crafting system.
The Mechanical Bow requires a Makeshift Bow and two Mechanical Parts, the Explosive Bow requires a Mechanical Bow and Grenades, and the Shockwave Bow requires a Mechanical Bow and Shockwaves. You can complete this in one game if you’re lucky enough.
You can ride most of the Ziplines at The Spire. There are at least four at this location if not five. If you still need one, you can always visit Weeping Woods or Dirty Docks.
Getting a headshot with a Bow may take a bit of time, but it will happen if you like the new weapon. For this one, our only tip is to learn how much bullet drop the Bow has.
The Legendary challenge for the week requires players to deal up to 12,500 damage with bows – quite a lot for players who don’t like using the new weapon. This one is going to take some serious grinding to complete, but it’s worth the amount of XP you’ll receive.
As usual, the best way to complete all of these challenges is in a game of Team Rumble. With enough luck, you can finish all of them in only a few matches. Good luck!

The Fortnite Season 6 Week 2 challenges require players to obtain literature samples from Pleasant Park, Lazy Lake, or Retail Row. Here’s where you need to go.
The Fortnite Season 6 Week 2 challenges were released a bit early this week. The list is relatively easy to complete, but there is one challenge that requires a bit of knowledge.
The challenge requires you to obtain four literature samples from Pleasant Park, Lazy Lake, or Retail Row. The literature can be found in bookshelves – but only some of them. Here’s where you’ll need to visit.
Fortnite literature samples locations
As the challenge suggests, there are two literature samples at each of the three locations. With only four needed to complete the challenge, you only need to hit two of the POIs – provided that you visit them in a game of Team Rumble.
Here’s a video from YouTuber, HarryNinetyFour, on the locations of four of these literature samples. They include two in Pleasant Park and two in Lazy Lake, which is all you need to complete the challenge.
As always, a game of Team Rumble is the easiest and best way to finish this challenge. With one of the other challenges requiring players to upgrade Mechanical weapons, Lazy Lake provides a perfect location to do both. There are plenty of cars here, which is where you get Mechanical Parts from.
We’ll keep you posted when the Legendary challenge for Week 2 releases, as the Epic challenges hit the game before the Legendary reset. Good luck!
