NBC Sports broadcaster Al Michaels will not be alongside Cris Collinsworth in the booth for the Cleveland Browns-New York Giants game Sunday night.

NBC Sports announced Friday that Michaels has “not been cleared to work this weekend’s game in accordance with NBCUniversal COVID-19 safety protocols.”

The network did not specify whether Michaels had tested positive or had come into contact with someone who had.

In a statement, Michaels, 76, shared that he has no symptoms.

“I feel great, I have no symptoms, and my temperature this morning was 97.5. I look forward to returning to the booth as soon as possible,” Michaels said in a NBC Sports release

Mike Tirico will call the game from MetLife Stadium with Collinsworth. Michele Tafoya will report from the sidelines and Terry McAulay will be a rules analyst.
